Meaning
Chalcedony is the form of Quartz that is compact and microcrystalline. The term chalcedony is derived from the name of the ancient Greek town Chalkedon in Asia Minor. Chalcedony has a waxy luster, and may be semitransparent or translucent. It is a colorful crystal of quiet beauty and power.
